Yeah, I saw that minutes ago, it was a 747 operating for THY Cargo, I’m very sorry of the tragedy. My sincere condolences to the families and friends.

Just woke up to head to work and saw this on ABC news, its to early in the investigation but there saying the plane might of crashed because of heavy fog during landing. RIP

The aircraft belongs to ‘My Cargo Airlines’ and was wet leased.

CAT 2 ILS only into Bishkek, 99m Rad Alt and 100-350m vis.

Should not have been an issue for a 744F. Looking at the weather in the pictures I would be doubtful if they would have had even that minima.

Speculation by me of course.

A horrible tragedy. Thankfully it could have been much worse.

Could it have been faulty maintenance that caused this crash?

I hate hearing about these things, all thoughts are with the families of the victims

This is terrible, however, I’m glad that this was a cargo aircraft and not a passenger jet. Imagine the death toll then…
