After a wonderful 3 days in Adelaide, we’re heading to Hobart, Tasmania!
Today we arrived at the airport around 10AM. The cabin baggage limit was a bit of a pain but we got through checkpoints relatively quickly; there was no emigration.
Boarding our first JetStar flight of the trip- and unfortunately, the seats are pretty spare but not too cramped. We’ve had worse legroom before.

Beginning our descent into Hobart
Butchering our landing in Hobart slightly overspeed at 150kts. We had a bit of a bounce and more than one baby started screaming.
Parked safely at the gate in Hobart. Overall, a decent flight with incredible scenery, but a horrible landing. The seats were cramped but not uncomfortable, and anyway it was the only airline that offered flights ADL-HBA.
We’ll spend two weeks in Tasmania, with 3 days in Hobart itself to enjoy seafood and wine, and the remaining ten days (last day will be travelling back to Hobart) will be spent driving in a rented RV up to Cradle Mountain, then a week-long hiking marathon to Lake St. Claire, with the opportunity to spot a plethora of endemic wildlife, which we’re looking forward to.
