On my continuing quest to fly and make a trip report for all the 757 operators in Infinite Flight, we are finally back on the beautiful African continent to fly the old flag carrier of Ghana which operated from 2005 to 2010! Ghana Airlines operated both the 757 and 767-300er on a small but varied route network across Africa and Europe! Today we are flying from the capital to Ghana’s 3rd largest city; a route that is now served by Africa World Airlines on the E145 - the airline that roughly replaced GIA after they ceased operations.

Getting first views of our very old 1984 built 757 after deboarding UA996 from Washington Dullles as it gets catered and cleaned after arriving from Gatwick. This particular 757 was only the 42nd and flew with eastern airlines, US Airways/US air and Ryan international before being transferred to Ghana Airlines as part of a leasing agreement.
