I don’t know how this happened but, perhaps it’s a connectivity issue, perhaps it’s not. I saw that there were 2 ground frequencies. “It’s probably a mere bug,” I thought. I realized that I actually controlled 2 grounds at the same time after an aircraft called me
Singapore Changi Ground, Singapore 983, ready for pushback
I was like, “Dude! How come? I’m controlling OMDB and an aircraft from far away just asked my permission as if I’m controlling WSSS?” but of course I couldn’t see that aircraft on radar since there should be a maximum distance between the controller and the aircraft for it to appear on radar.
There are multiple ground frequencies for some airports. At Dubai, there are multiple ground sectors. One would manage the north, one for the south. Other airports have this as well. In real life, one controller can’t manage such a large airport.
Well, that might be the case in real life. But in IF, you can only control one frequency for one airport. In my case, it’s not 2 grounds on the same airport but 2 grounds on different airports.
You took 2 different ground frequencies, and in IF you can select more than 1 frequency of same type, well idk if thats just for expert or also training
