Hi im looking at buying a cheap phone. The one im looking at only has an Accelerometer. Do I also need a gyro for IF?
I think you need gyro. Even then I heard IPhone compass is not very accurate,

Yeap thats kinda what I was thinking lol. Problem is I want android 5.0 under $200 so its not exactly an easy task :p
HTC one m8 around that price or cheaper

Im open to donations ;) lol. buying a device on lollipop pretty much means it will be good for a while, I brought an S3 when it was new and its glitching real bad now :p. But honestly im over spending money on a “brand”.

Ive heard the S2 has a good display for IF. Only issue with an S2 is they are really old imo
I would not go for Samsung phone they way it is now. Full of background craps and too many useless apps you can’t remove. Unless you root it. I’ll think about buying Samsung if the bring their own OS without tons of crap or android without crap apps.

A gyro is to measure Heading also known as direction.
