Just now I was operating a 737-800 apporaching RJAA, during cruise I watched the weather forecast and found that in my estimate arrival time the wind would turn opposite and I need to land from 34, so I modifyed my arrival procedure, but when I got in the final of 34L, the wind was in 227°, a bit confused but I chose to continue, hoping that on the ground the wind would from my tail.
With an ANA 772 apporaching 16R ahead of me, I chose to go around, after about five min I landed on 16R too, and the weather remained, the direction of wind didnt change as I hoped.
The current METAR (at the top) - displaying the winds as “22008KT” will be more accurate to the present conditions than the forecast, which can inevitably be incorrect sometimes.

Yes you are right, since this time I’ve learnt.
But as I was approaching to the final, the time had passed 1100 Zulu by nearly a quarter of an hour, so I can’t stop thinking that the runway change would start soon
until I chose to go around… I changed the procedure before decending to avoid go around, but finally I still have to
The METARs are updated approximately every 30 minutes.
