Ability to hide categories?

Is there a way to hide categories which do not interest me?

Physically hiding the topic is not possible sorry. You can set notification preferences in your settings which may help. I suggest you go to the discourse meta section and post there about this! ((:

Actually you can mute all notification about a specific category. Simply go to the category and there is a button at the top right to change your preferences.

That did the job, cleaned up the forum nicely. I muted the categories I don’t want to see, and now they are gone from my page.

And by activating the Watching button, I am notified of posts in the category I am most interested in. Sweet!!!.

I had my doubts about Discourse in the beginning, but now that the forum is active I am seeing its benefits. I’m really liking it :)
