Don’t you think it makes sense to be able to close your own topics, for example if they are not relevant anymore? Having to wait for a moderator to do it only takes up time. We can make the forums more neat if this ability was available. This also helps moderators, like MishaCamp’s:

It’s a moderator’s job to judge when something is or is not relevant anymore. We don’t want people closing their topic just because someone disagrees or if there is debate and good contribute being actively added.
