Probably not worth a topic, but I'm going to make one for it anyways
So apparently there are riots going on New Caledonia, and to deal with the riots, the French have been sending troops, police and equipment to the island. However since New Caledonia is too far for A400Ms and A330 MRTTs to fly there directly, they have to make a technical stop in the middle. Thankfully for us YVR spotters, YVR just so happens to be one of the French Air Force’s primary destinations to make refuelling stops.
I unfortunately missed the A330 MRTT landing, but I did catch it taking off. However since the heat haze is super, super bad, I’m going to attach an un-edited, RAW photo of it taking off just because I won’t bother editing it. View at your own discretion (It’s horrible)
There are supposed to be more of them coming today, but since I have common sense I’d prioritze my school 😂😅
