A380 is back at Nice 🇫🇷

The Airbus A380, the world’s largest commercial aircraft, capable of carrying up to 850 passengers in theory on its two running decks almost 73 meters long, landed at 1:20 p.m. on Thursday from Dubai, a flight operated by Emirates. This great return “very awaited by Nice customers,” said Cédric Renard, the general manager France of the Emirati company, was celebrated with great pomp on the tarmac of the Côte d’Azur platform.

It must be said that the love story between Nice and Emirates has been going on for 29 years with almost daily connections between France and Dubai. Unlike many companies such as Air France, which have gradually withdrawn this air giant from their fleet, considered unprofitable and too fuel-intensive, Emirates has always believed in its capabilities since it has 118 aircraft of this type in its fleet.

The Nice-Dubai A380 route from Emirates has suffered the throes of the Covid pandemic and since the resumption of the line in April 2021, after only one year of interruption, Emirates had positioned a Boeing 777 on this route between the Côte d’Azur and the emirate. Emirates connects Nice to Dubai every day with a capacity of 514 seats divided into three classes (414 in eco, 76 in business, 14 in first).
