A380 approach help

Does anyone have an idea of how long it takes for an a380 to slow down from 260ish kts and FL380.
Thanks

I think it takes approximately 25 minutes from cruise altitude to zero.

Thanks! Now I don’t have to fly in circles descending ☺

as a VERY rough guide to planning to slow down and descent, if you take your Flight Level and divide by 3 you will get the distance from threshold that is your Top of descent. I usually add 10nm to that as a safety margin!

For example:
FL380 / 3 = 126NM + 10NM = 136NM

I use above formula 9/10 times and works for me in the IF world. Just before I reach my TOD position I use the map to check out the WX conditions at my arrival airport as well as any traffic patterns that Approach / tower have set up and adjust my flight plan as needed.
