A350 winglet question

Hi people!

I have a question about the A350 winglets in real life and in game.

Some winglets look like this

But other winglets look like this

As you can see, the first one looks more sharp and taller while the bottom one looks more stubby and shorter. Can any of you explain why this is? Is it a POV issue or something else? All A350 winglets in IF look like the bottom one too so if one again any of you can answer, thanks!

I never noticed that!

but here is the internets answer:
The A350 has different winglets because the wings are longer and flex differently, so the aerodynamics are different. Also the smooth sinuous transitions were designed in from the beginning rather than added to an older design as on most models.

To be honest, the bottom, one looks better in my opinion

Great answer! So in summary, long wing + wingflex + new designs = difference?

Yes! I am not 100% sure in that answer though.

I’m pretty sure the winglet in IF is the old version of the winglet.

During the first couple years of the A350-900’s production it used the old winglet. After the ULR was introduced with a new and upgraded winglet that provided better aerodynamics, it was applied to the regular A350 as well.

Its so surprising that winglets can add so much range! Like for the 737-700 BBJ the new sharklets added a range increase of 5%🤯

Crazy right?

I really think a soft rework is needed for the 350. If not a full rework it’s missing a lot of modern features. like the Cabin and Doors and Winglets Everything else is OK and it flies really well So hopefully won’t take too long

also the blank black cabin.
