Did anyone else notice that they changed the sound of the Airbus A350-900 engine? 
It no longer sounds like a Boeing 767

Think I might be the only player in this community that liked the A359’s sound. Absolutely depressing to hear it sound like every other plane. It was unique.

It used to have the generic jet engine sound that the A220, A320-family, 737-family, A340, 717, 747-family, 767, 787, CRJ’s, Challenger 350, Embraers, DC/MD’s etc have.
So.. it’s quite the opposite of what you’re saying was “unique”

It’s old sounds were the same as basically every other plane (the CFM56 sounds found on the 737 in real life). It now has the 777 sound pack, also found on the A330 (and the A380 as well?).

Um… it actually used to sound like the majority of aircraft in IF. Technically it’s now a little more unique as fewer aircraft share the same sounds now

I must have selective hearing because for a long while I thought the A359 sounded pretty different to the other widebodies which I regularly fly. From the list Sberg created I’ve only flown the 787 and A320 recently so I guess that’s where my mistake comes from. Would still prefer the old sound to the heavy churning one I associate with the 777 and A380 any day!!

It sounds way better now. Anyone who thinks the A350 sounded better before is imagining things. By the way is there any chance you guys get a new default sound? Cause the current CFM 56 engine sound is quite old.

I get what you mean it might sound better to you now. Realistically, I still think the older version had some strengths, but compared to a real Airbus A350 sound profile, it still feels a bit off.

This was discussed multiple times and it ain’t happening for now.
We have been begging for that change for seven years now. I was hoping that perhaps with the release of the A350-1000, it would feature better cockpit windows, however, from what I’ve read in the community, I don’t think that is going to happen anytime soon, unfortunately.
They love boeing more than airbus, Airbus always comes last that’s why i don’t expect too much from them
Airbus always comes last uh… they just did the A330-200 then they are doing the A35K and the A320/321 Neos. (4/5 commercial planes that are going to be added or have been added this year are Airbus). People who prefer Boeing are only going to get one aircraft (787-9/ maybe -10) and not the 2 planes we’ve been wanting for so long (747/767). I get that your upset over the windows (which need a fix) but to say Airbus comes last is a lie. From what I’ve seen it clearly comes first
