Might be why…😉 haha!
I’m just kidding :) I don’t crash…ever 😎😎😎
Mmhmm…no one ever crashes in IF…definitely not me either…😬😂
Honestly I did eat the dirt not to long ago because I slid off the runway lol on a live expert atc. 🤕😵👮
A340 is my favorite aircraft of all time. They will be using it in the foreseeable future. You can do long-haul flights with it easy. Carries alot of weight. I would definitely suggest that you learn to fly it also.
But it doesn’t have ground effects 😶😶😶
Ground effect is the increased lift and decreased aerodynamic drag that an aircraft’s wings generate when they are close to a fixed surface:)
I’m in the same situation as Moritz, I would love to fly it often but unfortunately it’s in dire need of a rework so I’m holding off until then.
A beautiful bird but not worth it to fly it in IF. The physics arent all that bad but the fuel flow is horrid. No matter how much fuel you put in it always seems that you never have enough on the long hauls, even with 4 hours extra fuel put in.
ALL airbus aircraft that I know has a joystick
I dont really fly the a340 too often as it is a little outdated compared to the newer planes. But it has a unique design, much different to most others. Closest one the a330. It is the longest passenger aircraft right now and 4 engines without 2 decks! So in my opinion it is worth flying!
Lufthansa is a big player with the A340-family. Being a user of both the A430-300 and A340-600, using them on medium to long haul flights daily from their two major hubs, Frankfurt and Munich, they operate the A430 to crucial destinations for tourism and business.
So in IF? Well i don’t fly the A340 often but i have in the past and maybe it’s time again t take the magnificent quad engine single decker A340 up in the air again…?
So i said LH is a major A340 operator… and i basically only fly long hauls…? That’s why you’ll find me flying these realistic routes, that you also could try out ;)
Lufthansa flies A340 on routes such as:
Munich to SFO / Tokyo (HND) / New York (JFK) / Mexico City / Toronto (Pearson Intl.)
Frankfurt to HKG / Seoul / KSJC / LAX
And many more destinations, including a lot of shorter flights ranging from 3h to 6h.
The A340 is in a decent need of a rework, which is mostly necessary due to the physics of this plane being out of this world weird… The handling is this plane is quite unrealistic and therefore requires a little bit more practice to fly than the A330 in IF ONLY, not IRL. So give it a try but be certain that you can handle this bird before heading into the FNF traffic peak hours on Expert only to make a fool out of yourself during landing…
I’m pretty shure the A300 has a yoke.
The B747-8 took the longest passenger plane title. But the A340 once reworked will be a dream to fly and I would use it more so than the B787
The Airbus A300 and A310 had yokes
I have flown on an A340-600 from LHR to DXB with virgin Atlantic a couple of years back, and when we pulled into the gate we were parked next to the last Emirates a340 remaining. It’s a lovely plane and I’ve flown it a couple of times in IF and is worth a try, I love the layout of the gear as well, I think it is pretty neat.
Also don’t forget about cabin views!
(Sorry. It’s just my favorite feature.😎)
Honestly, that’s the feature I’m least concerned of considering the overall state of the aircraft at the moment
Yeah I know. It’s just my favorite feature.😔 But yeah needs a desperate rework like the 330.
To everyone that is saying joystick!
Airbus planes does NOT have a joystick.
It has a SIDESTICK!!
