One thing I’ve noticed when flying the a321 especially when flying to LA from places like Boston or NYC is that during the second half of the flight especially the a321 starts making weird movements and I have to descend to fl 300 to help stop it. Why is this? Is this a glitch, or something on my part?
Weight ,wind ,speed
Potential causes:
- If you are going faster than the aircraft’s maximum operating speed
- Turbulence
- Wind
But with other aircraft, even when flying fast and with winds, this never happens. Why is it with a321?
I’ve had the same problems, i’ve just never had the chance to report it as I don’t fly the A321 too much. It violently rocks side to side at times
The A321 in IF is known to be a sensitive aircraft on cruiselevel combined with winds. I fly this bird sometimes and I try to not go any higher than FL 360 and go any faster than GS 500. I know it’s not very realistic but in this way I can deal with it.
For the specific routes you’re speaking of, LAX-BOS/JFK I would pick FL330 and below to fly at until i’m not MLW, after coming out of the MLW weight range (orange) You can go up to FL360 safely, pushing the aircraft too high when it’s MLW will cause it to shake. About some other’s comments on it being sensitive to speed I don’t know about that one…
It’s because of the a/c weight. Went on an a321 recently and it did shake violently at times but in IF it’s totally unrealistic.
