A320 straying off fpl

I have just taken off out of frankfurt… as i engaged lnav the aircraft made a right turn following the selected sid but then continued to turn right, disregarding the rest of the fpl… any ideas why this has happened?

Hello!

You most likely had the wrong leg of the flightplan activated.
The active leg is indicate with a purple colour on the map.

You need to check if you have GPS or NAV1 selected. If it’s NAV1, it will follow the ILS path otherwise the normal flight path.

It is also possible that there was a sharp turn, and your aircraft was too fast to make the turn.

yes thats what i thought tbh, for a 90 degree turn after takeoff what speed would you suggest i make it at?

Can you give a picture of your plan where your plane is at?

Oh, a 90 degree turn, I would recommend max 190 knots.
