Global is right around the corner, and I want to really thank all of the staff members and all of the IF fans for making Infinite Flight the best mobile simulator of all time. Infinite Flight started off with only a Cessna 172 and with only one region: San Francisco. Overtime, FDS introduced many varieties of aircrafts like the iconic Airbus A380, which attracted many aviation enthusiasts over the world. Infinite Flight kept on growing, with the introduction of Live, the improved Boeing 787 and many more regions, and so forth. Until now… We have been waiting for so long for this, and hopefully, we’re going to love it (if anything doesn’t go wrong).
We have been waiting for the one and the only anticipated update that will change the whole entire game forever: Global Flight. This is the update that will blow up the Infinite Flight Community, Infinite Flight Fan Group, IFGP, and the App Store and Play Store. This update brings many new features you’ll love. You will be introduced to the new scenery, which is possible by using satellite imagery. You will be introduced to flying around the world for a very long time, calculating fuel by using mathematics, and of course, who won’t forget the moon and the stars above us at night?
Before we take off into the new and breathtaking scenery in a few days, I want you all to remember all the good times we had with the previous updates. We will remember the old scenery, and it will be missed. We will remember that there are regions that are trapping us inside, preventing us from flying to a different place. We will remember so many fun things that had happened to us during Live. We will remember a lot. So, farewell to the old Infinite Flight. Thank you very much.
For the developers, I (and many other people) feel like we can’t say thanks enough. For the countless hours, days, weeks, months, and years you’ve put into developing this update. For the bugs you’ve had to maneuver around. For all the annoying people on Infinite Flight’s instagram comment sections you’ve kept your calm with.
This update will blow every mobile flight simulator away. Words simply can’t describe how amazing it is, and how amazing it will be when we all get to experience it. I feel that we don’t deserve this. We’ve been impatient, we’ve been bombarding you with questions, we’ve been nosy. But that’s why we’re so lucky with these developers. So I’ll say it again, THANK YOU, for all the hard work you’ve put into this. Thank you for taking the time out of your very busy schedules to interact with us, tell us about the new features, and giving us insights. I really can’t wait to see what it’ll be like.
Just imagine one day, in many years, when we talk about the “pre-global era” in this forum. We’ll be like: “I joined the community when there wasn’t global flight”
And I joined shortly after the pre-live era ended I can sadly remember exactly what I was doing when that update came and how exited I was (think i was 12/13??)
My best memories were with regions. RIP Regions 20??-2017, you will be missed. Thank you FDS for this wonderful simulator which has given multiple good memories from regions. But the age of regions is over. It’s time to move over to Global Flight. Some time ago, people thought this would be impossible. You proved them wrong. Thank you FDS.
Been playing infinite flight since 2012, and i can’t tell you how proud i am of what I’ve seen the Dev’s do over the years. I remember anxiously waiting for the multiplayer update, as i am now for the global update.
