Let us take this scenario. I am on a long vacation and I want to practice landings on the Boeing B747-200 which came with Live+. There is no WiFi so I can’t. To avoid this thing IF should have a timer which lets us use any plane and any downloaded areas for 1 month. If someone tries to cheat the FDS, the devs can make a tool to invalidate the 1 month access if we change the date and time (not the time zone). If there is less than one month of Live, make that timer block the usage of the planes and areas when Live is scheduled to run out. And of course this is not fool proof, but to me, this is the best solution.
Get Live+ and help support FDS or save enough money to buy individual planes. We already get more than enough free planes and regions.

No. I have downloaded all planes and regions, but I didn’t connect to IF for a week, so I couldn’t fly solo because I had no connection.
It only works if you have connected to IF 2 days before. Confirmed for me
Yes you can. Otherwise I can’t see how I could be able to fly the 787, without buying it seperately, while flying to Mexico in April

Are you sure about that @Gavrilo? Because currently paid planes is greater than free planes. That is 3:1.

Exactly. That’s more than enough. We have free GA, Regional, Commercial, Heavy and Military aircraft. Given they may not be 4K quality, they’re free, and the quality is above average IMHO ;).

He said that he wasn’t able to fly the planes he payed for in solo because he had no connection and it happened to me sunday. If you read correctly, what he said is totally confirmed for my side.

It is like an offline system to help us use the game and all planes that come with Live+ in vacations. Not made to cheat FDS. If it fails, FDS could dump the tool and start afresh.
I did not pay for the planes. They come with Live+.
Okay, so if I understand this correctly, when a user has no connection, the planes are “rented” at little and or no cost?

Well I am not sure, if I got it correctly but if you bought Live+ you will have access to all the planes and regions even if you are offline (if you downloaded them of course).
At least that is how it works for me.
I would just like to point out the obvious, that not even the original poster voted for his own topic. With all due respect, I don’t think much thought was given to this idea. 🤷🏼♂️

I don’t think there will be a point in this because when Global releases, terrain will be streaming through the internet to you will need internet to play IF, even solo. Just my 2 cents.

Live + isn’t expensive, it only costs $4.1 a month and with that, all aircraft/regions and new ones too are included. I know you may not be saying the cost is the issue, but it’s really a bargain and I’m surprised that IF has increased the price of live+.
Offline doesn’t really work for the most part.
