A Sunset in Dallas to a Beautiful Orange Moonrise In Corpus Christi

Dallas-Fort Worth to Corpus Christi, flight time was 59 minutes and I used the US Airways E175, I love flying the Embraers for some reason and the US Airways livery is the closest thing the American Eagle flights flown on this route in real life.

TURN UP YOUR BRIGHTNESS FOR THE LAST FEW PICTURES OR YOU WONT BE ABLE TO SEE THEM

Rotating out of Fort Worth Ascending over downtown Dallas As we approach Flight level 350, the sun sets behind the horizon As we start to descend into Corpus Christi the moon rises behind our aircraft Approaching Corpus Christi after a pretty nice approach from the East after turning over the coast Approaching Runway 31 preparing for my first landing without the HUD Touchdown In a breezy Corpus Christi In the light of the moon

All photos are unedited so please let me know your thoughts! :)

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing!

What’s that second airport right to the left of the approach path, looks easily to misinterpret?

Thanks so much! 👊

Only 15-20 knots which was kind of disappointing because I was hoping for it to be a little windier

Haha thanks!

It’s a smaller class Delta airport with a runway that is the same runway number as the one I was approaching in Corpus Christi, you have to check your map because it’s really easy to confuse for the real airport until you’re about 7-8 miles out

I think the Embraers are really underused and underrated too
