So after 8 years of delays Germany’s newest airport opened up (Brandenburg) and one of the first flight into Brandenburg this happens, do you think it’s a sign or just purely bad luck that something like this would occur as it opened?
Just bad luck. Like it said in the article “There is one thing you can not control. Mother Nature.”
Ah that’s both a sign and bad luck for me, and at the same time…it’s not.
Probably the birds in the area still need to learn that they better avoid this area now as the airport opened.
I’d say just a coincidence. After regularly reading avherald I can say bird strikes aren’t that rare.
Happens sometimes. Aeroflot’s first A350 went to the repair shop the next day because of a birdstrike.
