A Rocky Mountain Sunrise leaving Aspen into a Warm Hawaiian Airport That You Probably Haven’t Heard Of

Yesterday morning I flew in the Cessna Citation between KASE-PHMU. KASE is Aspen and PHMU is Waimea-Kohala Airport on the Big Island. The reason I flew into Waimea is because when my family and I were on vacation in Hawaii we drove through Waimea and it was amazing. It’s a like a normal town, but it’s at 3000 feet above sea level on the side of an extinct volcano. Because it’s so high up, EVERYDAY IS 75 DEGREES (Fahrenheit) AND SUNNY YEAR-ROUND (As I’m typing this it’s 73 and sunny). You’re only a 30 minute drive from the beach but to me 75 and sunny just seemed too amazing to be true for me so I automatically want to live in the town. I flew the Cessna Citation and my flight time was exactly 5 hours and 30 minutes. I cruised between 28,000 and 44,000 feet depending on winds at certain points and cruised at the Citations max speed of Mach 0.92
