A RECORD 58 mile CHALLANGE INCIDENT!

I’ve been harping on the random Guard Challange Messages by PLAYGROUND Towers for weeks. Today I was flying in Indonesia. On arrival CHANGI was on Unicom, I departed VFR for KLUNG in my Caravan. KLUNG is a grass strip Unicom controlled. After an uneventful sortie as I was on a Crosswind Final into KLUNG I received 3 Challanges in a row from CHANGI Tower. Distracting, Yes! Missed Approach, Yes! CHANGI on the Comm Menu,No!. Measured the distance from KLUNG to CHANGI.; 58 flight miles. (By the time I got parked CHANGI was back on Unicom so I did’nt get the Operators name which I would have posted here.). So ATC’s & the ATC Training Establishment please remembers/reinforce the limits of airspace authority or establish an IF norm if your deviating from the AIM… A random Challange from time to time is acceptable in a Training Environment! What’s not acceptable is the continual Challanges outside the outer ring! Bad Jujju! ATC’s I believe I’m correct, but please correct me if I’m wrong, (Your Perception or he look like he was inbound don’t get it for an ansewer) When your running Approch etc. it’s expected some times, but Tower I wish you’d stay within you Area of Defined Resposibility! Just Sayin “Again”, Max Sends. (Bring it on, Flax Jacket in Place!!!)

If you keep having this problem then fly on the ADV server and problem solved

I hate the advanced servers there is rareley more than 5 atc on the Advanced server and there is not many people so its not a good option

agreedd there could be more but do you really need more than that at once? It’s not as if you can fly in 2/3 regions at the same time…saying that there are more advanced controllers everyday so the number are rising. Hope that helps

Noted Misha and thank you for your curtesy and hard work you obviously put in to advance to your journeyman ATC position. (Never beat an old dog my young friend they have a tendency to bite). I wish you well…

It would be nice if the adv server routinely had the five primary components of the ATC elements at any controlled airport…ie…apr/dep…ground…tower…and center…to better realistically simulate the flying environment…then the more seasoned pilots would better appreciate and understand the purpose and procedures of the ATC in providing as safe a voyage into the wild blue yonder as possible…

If you get 5 people to sit in airports who’s gonna fly?? Even in minimum number of airports. And 5 people gonna have timetable to sit there?

Agreed that is nice. But if we have say 2 airports instead,it creates more traffic which is also realistic

Appears the Advanced Guys want to house sit in a homeport or a favored location. For me SoCal Sucks except for the high desert and the back door, the valley of the sun via the mex border to Brown or Tj. Time will tell…

@GatwickGuy … Shi$ Happens… Where there’s a will there’s a way! If I ran the ATC leash up I’D set up some Region/Airport rotating assignments. they may do that now but from a distance it appears haphazard. I know everybody has a life. By I adjusted for 30 years… It’s a mind set, pure pleasure and personal desire when your dealing with volunteers. Hell, I’m just mussing. I’m a shitty Pilot, what the hell do I know… Max Sends
