A real need for airbrakes

I was just flying a flight from knas to klax wherein I was flying at FL20, I had to descend to 8000ft, but the boeing 747 that I was flying just wasn’t ready to reduce speed at a high pace because of the descent. I had my spoilers on flight my flaps on full and my gears also down but the flight just wasn’t reducing the speed. I ended up getting 3 speed violations and removed from the multiplayer server.

We really need air brakes in the game now.

there actually are air brakes. if you pull back on the rudder, you can apply brakes

Descend at a lower rate so that you are able to slow down. You shouldn’t need to be deploying flaps and the gear.

What rate were you descending?

You need to reduce your descent rate then if none of that is working. It sounds like you hadn’t dropped your speed sequentially or early enough.

I have noticed that some of the non-reworked aircraft such as the A340 and 747 don’t have the best physics. This could also be a problem.

I did try to apply the rudder brakes but for some reason even those didn’t work.

I dropped my speed as soon as I reached the FL320 mark as I was aware that I might have to descend at a higher rate.

I tried reducing the descent rate to 1000V/S but the speed still wouldn’t decrease.

It can be a problem. But the issues here was that I got kicked of the multiplayer room just because of the 3 violations I got even after I tried to lower my speed down to 240 knots.

What did you drop your speed to?

Were you using VNAV?

The VNAV was not active as whenever I try to use VNAV it always misses the altitude of the waypoint and just starts to descend to the altitude of the new waypoint and misses that as well and the cycle continues.

I tried to reduce my speed to 240 knots.

And what speed were you at originally?

I was crusing at 320 knots on FL320

Did you reduce it when you were below 10,000?

I started the reduction of my speed as soon as I reach my waypoint of FL320. I started the descent to FL20 at the same time but I was descending at a rate of 1000V/S

No I started reducing it as soon I reached my waypoint of FL320

It’s odd as if you’ve done all those things there shouldn’t be any issues. I’ve found the 747 slippery but never had overspeed issues to the degree you’re describing

I’ve flown like 10 747’s till now and yess some of my flights have been a bit slippery but even I faced this issue for the first time and I was just shocked because even after trying everything the plane was just not ready to lower the speed.
