Welp, as in the title it says it all. Over the past year I’ve taken up this hobby of spotting and try to do it whenever possible. Today I’d like to share with you some of my favorites. As a Minnesota native, my home airport is KMSP where these were taken. While I am quite an amateur, and somewhat lack the better equipment, this is something I very much enjoy to do. I have a lot of fun with it, love it, and the only way to go from here is up (no pun intended).
I am also open to any feedback, opinions, etc… Just don’t beat me up too bad. 😛 I’ll post more from other airports I’ve been in due time and hope to be able to continue sharing in the future. Now, I won’t bore you to tears anymore and without further ado, I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
June of this year catching Condor (DE2011) arriving from Frankfurt. Bonus because it was my mother in laws plane as well. A339
Yep. I was trying to think of the most Minnesotan things ever (ice fishing, hot dish, the Vikings) plus some Minnesota “slang” (let me squeeze right past ya, for sure).
It’s crazy how well the de icers work in tandem and that they’re so efficient. Minneapolis is no stranger to de icing, but it’s still impressive it watch.
Cool to see that you are getting into spotting! Definitely a really nice thing to do as an avgeek. I really should do it more often. As for the location, @Mort has made it very clear to me that he believes Minnesota is the best place in the whole country. MSP seems to have really decent traffic though. Anyways, pretty cool pics all in all lol. I especially liked the a330-900 being de-iced 😍
