Hello everybody! (I don’t know how to start off these lol). Yesterday I flew one of my favorite routes in the world. Philadelphia to Fort Myers (PHL-RSW) and back. I’ve flown between these airports 7 times which is easily my most flown route. I took off after I got home from the school and put pizza rolls in the oven, I reached cruise, went outside and chipped a golf ball around, went to play basketball with my friends and then when I got home it was time descend. I landed around 5:40 EST and then left for Philly around 6. As I always say, the approach into runway 6 at RSW is one of my favorites in the world and the sunset only made it better. And I flew this route as a pilot for @AmericanVirtual!
It took 2 hours 24 minutes to get to Fort Myers and 2 hours 8 minutes to get back to Philly
Leaving runway 9L on a Cold, January Day looking for warmer weather Leaving Philly behind and banking toward the Southwest Flying over the Chesapeake Bay and downtown Baltimore Cruising by the barrier islands of northern Georgia Preparing to descend flying by Tampa and St Petersburg Turning toward the runway past the White Sand and Turquoise water of Sanibel Island The sun shines against the flats of Florida On Short Final in Fort Myers Flaring in Florida! Now trying to leave on time before thunderstorms roll in After a little while on the ground we leave the sunset behind ready to get home to Philly. As always please let me know your thoughts and your favorite photo!
