A Guide To Creating An ATC Tracking Thread

I believe so, yes.

I’ll have a look at making it now then

I have a question.

Are ATC Tracking Threads only for if your in the IFATC Recruiting Process?

Nope, you can have a thread at anytime, it’s just recommend to people who have any intent of joining IFATC in the Future.

@MJP_27 in the About ATC Category pinned topic, Misha said,

We allow for tracking threads for your ATC training to be published. Please refrain from doing these unless you are in the process of joining the official IFATC team to control the expert server.

I’m not exactly sure what the current standing is but I thought they were only supposed to be made if you are training for IFATC.

That being said, I don’t think you have to be in the recruitment process to make them but they’re mainly for ATC training.

Yes. That has been said, but Moderators do not mind if just want to practice some ATC skills. As long as it’s using the proper format, it’s ok. It is recommended for all controllers who want to join IFATC in the future. Thanks!

dont you think 400 atc operations is too much ?

There is no such thing as too much operations. However, to apply for IFATC, you need to have at least 500 ATC operations. You may refer to the post below if you are interested in joining IFATC.

Best of luck :)

Thank I for helping me out :)

Can I open a tracking thread in Expert server?

No, you may not.

So how can I invite people to fly pattern work in expert sever?

By not sending invites publicly on the forum. Most, if not all VAs/VOs have dedicated ATC channels. Trying to reduce clutter here.

A couple of related Q’s.

  1. What is the best time ? I would expect, but don’t want to assume, evenings and weekends, and perhaps not Friday because that’s flight night ?

  2. Is it worth announcing in advance ? If I can be certain that I can do (say) EDDM from 2000-2130 is it worth mentioning ? Or even “in 30 minutes” ? People could then arrange to fly in for that slot.

I appreciate that someone else could be doing it as you can’t reserve an airport, but then anyone who wanted to fly in or out because there’s ATC would get it just not from me :) and I could monitor the ATC and take over if they stopped ?

Or just do it ?

Please i need to practice my tower and ground control.
You guys can just spawn in at KSEA and fly in the pattern.

Hi mate,
You may have missed the idea of this topic, the intent of this topic is to show you how to create a tracking thread where you post where your open etc. Posting here about you opening will not have the effect and or audience you may be trying to attract for some ATC feedback
