A great evening of Spotting - Wellington INTL (NZWN)

Had a pretty nice night out at the airport yesterday - great to see some local traffic under the cover of dark as we move into winter. Enjoy a few of my favorites!

ZK-NEU, a Q300 readying up for a quick hop across the Cook Straight to Nelson

Another Q300, this time inbound to the capital.

Air New Zealand’s brand new, world first All Black Star Alliance A321neo.

One of the better looking airplanes out there in my opinion, the humble ATR72.

You might be seeing a theme, we get a lot of Q300s.

Last one I promise.

The propellers being lit up on those Dash-8s looks amazing.

Great shots! Keep it up.

Thanks! Always love the plop blur effect with low shutter speeds.

It is a very cool look.

I’m always afraid to try it though because for the life of me I can’t keep my camera still enough for it.

Try using a tripod! Lock it for vertical movement and pan it horizontally, that should help

Awesome photos! It’s good to see a piece of New Zealand come to my home airport 5 times a week! Btw, what is your camera gear?

Thanks! Currently using a Nikon D750. Most of these photos were taken with my 24-120mm lens, but I also use an 18-35mm, 50mm and 70-300mm.
