This is where I will post where I am doing Atc. The one before was horrible, but after my suspension I thought about my actions, and what to do better next time. But, when providing feedback, I want you to do it in this format so it is easy to understand and learn.
Format:
What you need to improve on: xxxxxx
How you could improve on that: xxxxxxx
Once again, I am sorry and I will accept feedback nicely. THIS TIME FOR REAL.
without further ado, let get on with the airspace!
(Please note, most of the time I am just saying ATC is open in this area! Come and fly!, not: I am training in this area! I will say when I’m deticating to training. When casully controlling I will sometimes say: unable pattern work at this time, just fly to another airport in the region. Other times while casully controlling I will allow Pattern work. Got it? Hope you do.)
Tip From Chris: In order to improve your skills of being an air traffic controller, you must accept pattern work to practice on your sequencing, clearnaces, ground air coordination, transitions, and the standard tower pattern.
Not accepting pattern work when its not busy and there little to no practice wont help you do much, anybody can do that just clear for take off and frequency change approved.
Unless its extremely busy with 20 departures and 30 arrivals which i doubt will ever be the case for you unless you control socal TS1, you need to do tower pattern work and accept it. I assume your longer term goal is IFATC which is really everyones long term goal, your IFATC practical will consist of pure pattern work. Practice on this to practice for your practical if you ever take it.
Also assuming your long term goal is IFATC, maturity plays a huge role in the group, time and time again there could be perfect controllers but if they dont have the correct act they’ll be out. And trust me its from personal experience that if you’re not matture you wont go far. Pilotage is also a big one, you’re supposed to fly like if you’re representing IFATC, if you fly like a melon or dont follow your colleagues instructions you will have many problems facing you.
Just please dont make this thread like the last one, we would love to see a different cockatoo.
Great controlling. You handled ground well, and tower even better. Sequencing was good, spacing was good, clearing was good. Nice to see you back at ATC.
Well, I had so many aircraf I couldn’t look at their call signs that much, but I know one thing. Everyone was very good at flying except for those 2 TS1 Noobs… You are included and good job!
Note: what did you think about my way of separating the aircraft. Were they too close or too far apart…
