Been a while since I did one of these! You can see my last one here.
Hello! Last month I flew from Sydney to Houston on United’s beautiful 787-9. This was when Sydney was featured as the FNF, “Hot and Heavy”.
We departed at around 11 am local time in bustling Sydney from runway 07, the shorter and less realistic runway, but when you are assigned by ATC, there’s nothing else you can do. We had a crosswind, hot, takeoff, then banked right towards the vast big blue. We cruised at 31, 33, 35, 37, 39, and finally 41 thousand feet. We crossed over the pacific and had a nice sunrise over Los Angeles. We continued east over some gorgeous mountains near Sadona, AZ, and then entered Texas, flew south of Austin, and eventually touched down after 16 hours and 21 minutes in Houston. Enjoy!

The full moon moments from disappearing as the rising sun takes its shift over the waking city of Los Angeles
The sun rises as we glide miles above the city of Ontario, California

Gear down in Houston

Deplaning at our gate!
I hope you enjoyed!
