Air India flys to Seoul Incheon & Osaka Kansai from Hong Kong using the 5th freedom. Usually only legacy carriers have these rights, but most of the routes have been abandoned by carriers in the past decades due to operating cost and they have long range a/c now.

5th freedom flights still operating eg.

Cathay Pacific ( these routes still exists )

  1. Taipei Taoyuan - Fukuoka / Tokyo / Osaka / Seoul
  2. Bangkok - Singapore
  3. Vancouver - New York

Though Cathay is the flag carrier of HK, they had flights within the Asia-Pacific hubs.
