90 Days Since the Launch of Global

90-day

The Global update has brought out pilots from all across this globe and from what I have observed it has been well received by us community members. On a daily basis I see folks putting out events or asking others if they want to join on a flight to some country on the other side of the world. VAs popping up left and right as a result of the excitement of global has brought out even more pilots flying more and more each day according to reports from VA leaders and CEOs.

Well, its been 90 days since global was released (give or take a day or two), whether you believe it or not and I thought it would be kinda neat for folks to share how much they’ve flown and the number of landings that they’ve done. This can be found in your ā€œgrade tableā€. If you prefer to not share a screenshot for whatever reason that’s fine, as there is nothing to be ashamed of, and you may just post your total hours and the landings in the last 90 days as a simple response. This is just a topic just for fun and more of reflection on how far global has come in such a short period of time. Maybe we have some competitive community members in here??? If so, show yourself! šŸ¤”

Below I have attached my grade table and a brief description of the things that contributed to those perspective totals:

  • 854 Hours: I love to do long hauls and set them up generally before work. I’m always thrilled to take off from Sydney and coming home to the aircraft being over Mexico. Just in time for me to plan a descent into Dallas.

  • 1,324 Landings: I like to jet around in the pattern in the Cessna 208 and do a bunch of touch and go’s on days I don’t do a long[er] haul. Its nice for a change. I specifically look for airports that are windy to give me the added challenge for such a light aircraft. My philosophy is if you can land a light aircraft in windy conditions, you can land an airliner just fine. Somedays, if fun to just go to the basics. That would explain the high landing count.

I don’t really look at my grade table very often so I was kinda shocked when I saw these numbers. 😄

Time flies really fast! I couldn’t believe that we have passed 90 days since the release of Global (for iOS users). Global is basically making Infinite Flight looked like a brand new update (In other words, Reborn). I’m looking forward for the bright future ahead for FDS and Infinite Flight Users! 😊

Wow, you’re way ahead of me. I had 146 hours and 129 landings.

I’ve got a fair few hours - I like to do a lot of long hauls. There’s something magical about lying in bed and thinking ā€œwhen I wake up I’ll be in Tokyoā€

I’ve only got enough landings to keep up my g5. I’m not a massive fan of patterns, but I do sometimes do them to keep up my grade.

I think the picture is pretty self-explanatory that I just don’t find enough time for flights lol

Anyway, I guess unlike most of you here. I don’t accumulate many landings and flight hours actually, as I always subscribe the monthly subscription and I do few long hauls unfortunately and I have been busy lately with some school stuffs such as exams and Sciencetific Paper, and not to mention with the upcoming National Examination

I spend most of my live session with a short flight, ranging from 1-4 hours. And I only have done 2 flights with 9 hours duration unfortunately. But hopefully, I can accumulate more in the future.

But these can be some of the most enjoyable ones. ā˜ļø

Yup! I do enjoy most of it, such as the one I did while flying over New Guinea (Jayapura-Port Moresby). Or with 3 hours flight from Chennai to Bangkok (with @Namit). And flying from Hiroshima to Hong Kong with spectacular views and tailwinds in Japan 😊

This just goes to show that you shouldn’t be a jack**s in your first days of Infinite Flight lol, took $80 right outta my pocketšŸ˜“šŸ˜…. Anyways this is only about 4 days of having my new subscription, so I have racked up a lot of XP in 4 days if I do say so myself.

Btw I am going on a landing spree tonight lol

596 hours, 88 landings. I unfortunately end up leaving flights before landing. Trying to get back up to grade 4 though, gonna do some patterns this week

I’ve got 500,000 XP, a lot of hours since global was out.

It’s amazing that I still fly alone tho, thought it wouldn’t be the case when Global released

Welcome to the lonely group Dush. :(

Right now I have more than enough of every other requirements needed for grade 5 and 4, except for landings. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

I think that global was kind of one of the motivations for this, and I started my final push to grade 5, about 100 more landings, over winter break. This weekend I got the final push, about 40-50 more and got my 200th landing in the last 90 days after a short flight last night.

I never really started doing actual flights until after global. I’ve come pretty far, and I’m proud of it.

The thing that stuns me most is that both global and the dc and Md series aircraft came out in this time.
