8 Days in Sin City ( FLIGHT 1 )

Well guess who’s back?

ME!

Yeah, after a month of no ( IF ) trip reports, it’s time to do another one! Now where am I off to now? Well I’m going to Las Vegas, Nevada 🎰⭐️ for 8 days to meet up with some friends I made online. I’m obviously not going to drive since it’s like 2 days and I generally hate road trips, not gonna take a train but I am going to get there by the best mode of transportation on the planet

PLANE!

Come on, what did you expect? But anyways, after 2 entire trips without featuring it, it’s time to return to my favourite Florida Airport, American Airlines Hub, Major Hub yeah I’m talking about Miami International Airport ( KMIA ) It’s been a while but I’m back and will be back for the next few trips. And yes if you haven’t guessed it, I am flying with AA from Miami 🏝️😎 to Vegas 🎰⭐️ but enough chit chat, lets get in the car, drive down to MIA and get this trip started!

Flight Info

Origin: Miami Intl 🇺🇸 ( KMIA )
Destination: Harry Reid Intl 🇺🇸 ( KLAS )
Flight Time: 4:27
737-800 ( American Airlines )
Server: Expert

I arrived at MIA at 6:00 AM exactly so I pretty much got no sleep but I can sleep on the plane, after crying about missing it so much, I got some Cafe Versailles since I needed it and made my way to gate D26 to see the Boeing 737-800 taking us to Sin City this morning! Yeah , 4 and a half hours on a 737 and I thought the flight from MIA to Guayaquil, Ecuador 🇪🇨 was long for one, this ones worse and I’m flying MAIN CABIN. Oh boy, hopefully this goes well 🙏🏻 made sure to eat a good breakfast so I can go well with the small snack service AA will provide on this flight but I stopped at a small store to buy some potato chips just in case but my group was just called so better make my way to the plane.

Got myself a nice view out the window! Just wait till later in the flight, seats pretty much the basic AA Main Cabin seat so there really isn’t much to say about it so let’s just get airborne.

Man, I haven’t blasted out MIAs Runway 8R on an American Airlines B737-800 but I’m glad to do it again! Now we say goodbye to the 645 🏝️😎 yeah notice how I didn’t say 305? Well that’s because the Miami Dade County area code was changed from 305 to 645. But I’m too familiar with the old one and most you guys are to, so I’m just going to keep calling it the 305.

Climbed up to FL360 the crew began their service as quickly as possible this time around, the flight attendants were actually giving out BOTH Biscoff cookies and pretzels and the traditional beverage of choice, so I had 3 snacks 😋 but I saved the chips just in case since I believe this will be the only service. Sadly, the crew didn’t make some jokes so I’m gonna give them 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ still good though I’ve experienced worse. But it’s time for some shut eye.

Woke up over New Mexico directly above Roswell, one of the biggest facilities to store retired aircraft after their services. I’d still say Victorville, California is still the most known. I generally don’t sleep on planes because I just love the flying experience and I try to take advantage of it all but if my eyes are half awake and I’m yawning, I’m taking a nap kind of regret it here since only about 1 hour and 30 minutes remained till Vegas 🎰⭐️

Around 10-15 minutes before we began our descent into LAS, we flew by the Grand Canyon. I FINALLY get to see it with my own eyes, I missed it when I flew on AAs Airbus A321T from New York City 🗽🍎 to Los Angeles 🌴📸 in flagship first back in June, luckily my friend took a picture of it but I still wanted to see it with own eyes and here, my dream has come true! This is the view I’ve been waiting for.

We’re getting closer and closer to the Casinos, Lights and parties of Vegas 🎰⭐️ but before that we flew over Hoover Dam as we approached LASs RWY 26L.

On final for RWY 26L at Harry Reid Intl! Overall, despite the length for such aircraft, I actually really enjoyed this flight yeah I know I slept for pretty much the entire flight but I personally love Americans 737-800s however I do miss back when they had PTVs instead of this BYOD system but the seats overall look nicer than the older design crew were friendly and they even had time to have some aviation chit chat for like an hour in the aft galley so maybe I will bump them up from 3 to 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but anyways, let’s enjoy this landing into LAS!

TOUCHDOWN! Welcome to Harry Reid International Airport formerly known as McCarran International Airport but let me know in the comments, which is better? But anyways, I’m glad to be able to come back to Las Vegas 🎰⭐️ last time I came here, We DROVE here and my goodness, was it long. I’m grateful for the fact I only got here in 4 hours and 27 minutes from Miami 🏝️😎 but I’m excited to spend some time with my internet friends here!

We parked at gate D8 and immediately after stepping off the plane, I noticed the slot machines yeah, welcome to Vegas everybody. No need for baggage claim since I only brought a backpack and a carry on. Made my way to the rental car facility, rented a Jeep and got to the hotel to meet up with my friends before heading out to The Strip later tonight and do other stuff here, I hope you guys enjoyed this trip as much as I did but as always between now and the next time, see you in the sky! 😉👋
