787-9 Approach Speed/Glide-Slope

Hi everyone! I have constructed my own flight speed for the 787-9 on approach, This is only if you’re aircraft load is set to 65%, 217,670 kg is what i set it to. This allowed me to get better at flying this aircraft, smoother landings and more controlled approaches. I hope this will help anyone that needs it!

Takeoff flaps seem high. I do 5 or 10 depending on the runway.

You would never land above MLW, so your approach speed seems a little high.

MaxSez: Nice but I’ll use the POH or Quick Ref. Thanks, am sure you worked hard on this. Works for you fine, thanks for sharing.

As stated before you are above MLW which has a negative affect on your speed. The 787 should be touching down with a 130kts minimum (as from a previous Quick Ref I’ve seen).
