With the 787-9 being confirmed I think we should get the 787-8 and 787-10 In the future as it shouldn’t be too hard to do. The 787-8 is the Second most popular 787 variant after the -9, and is the smaller brother. They are used for Medium and Long Haul routes and popular among budget airlines compared to the -9. Personally I think at least the -8 should be reworked along with the -9 as the a330’s or the 777’s have been.

It’s not as easy as many in the community think. You’d basically have to make the exterior model almost from scratch, with the overall length different, the wings in a different configuration, etc…
its not as simple as just “make it shorter and done”.
Also I would say that this feature request below is still valid - since its for the entire family:

Considering they allowed me to make a request specifically for the A321neo, and that was partly why they confirmed A321neo development, rather than just the A320neo, as per the original plan, I don’t see the issue with a 787-8-specific request.

I’m with you I also live the 767, but it only had one variant if it had the freighter I would’ve chosen it, with the 787, I’m fine with the 10 not being reworked but the 8 and 9 100% should be. Like we have 4 777 variants and I’m not complaining as it’s my favourite plane but the Dreamliner also is
