787-10 Cockpit Geometry issue

Version Information

Beta 26.4.1 (19353)

Device Information

iPhone 17 26.6.1

Description

I was wondering how the 787 was going through the modeling process and I went out to KPAE to take a peak. That’s where I found out that there is a modeling inaccuracy where the forward window frame meets the glareshield.
In the current Beta model, the glareshield is modeled slightly too short or sits too low, because of this, the bottom edge of the window frame is exposed, creating a visible and boxy look. In the real 787 aircraft, this lower border is not visible at all because the glareshield sits flush against the window frame.
Having myself been in the cockpit of the 787 many times, I can tell when something this eye catching is off immediately.

I hope this can get fixed before the official launch, other than that, the cockpit is looking good!

I’ve been in a 787 cockpit many times and I can bet anything it’s not a matter of perspective. The inboard frame is really thick at this time in case the modeling hasn’t been completed yet.

787 got remolded?)

No but there is a frame that we can see, of the reworked plane. I forget where it is.

It’s parked at KPAE, available to see through the Open Beta

I’m not able to render it in the open beta..

Thats all perspective. Your camera is pretty far back, the overhead panel isnt visible in the real one.
