787-10 captain camera view

Please why’s the 787 camera (captain view ) this way ? Any way around this it looks kind of weird and different angle from other aircraft in the sim

You mean if it’s more elevated than other cockpit views? That’s from the first rework, the upcoming one may have a new one, slightly lower to the instruments.

Yes it’s completely different why tho. And how can I make it look more balanced like the 777? ETC!

Because it was determined to be like that when the 10 was added, it’s the same for the 8 and 9.

You can lower the view while you’re in cockpit view. Or, go into the no cockpit/HUD view.

I guess I will see it to my preference then ?

In the meantime, yes. You can ask for a lower cockpit view on the 787 rework topic.

Because of this…

The 787 -9 and -10 looked okay to players 9 years ago and the 777 made everyone jumped up and down 5 years ago. Soon, the 787 will look better than anything if it gets released 2026.

But good on ya to bring this up. I brought up an issue for the claustrophobic A380 cockpit when it was getting reworked, dunno if it made a mark or whether they even noticed me but upon release the new cockpit finally turned out super great!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Hi, my subjective option is that it works well and looks good as is, even though the 777 also works as is.

But you do have one possible adjustment option for now (though it’s a bit cumbersome to adjust each time): using cockpit drone view.

It would be nice to be able to save the drone cockpit view between sessions (unless that is already possible and I just missed it somehow).

Yea I thought so too, you meant the Exterior/ Interior Cam right? I always prefer to move Interior Cam to my usual seat 26A behind the wing (because I love turbulence, wing flex!)… and I just wished they could be saved. It’s a drag having to do it each time.

This could be quite challenging to accomplish by the devs tho, due to many different aircrafts, but maybe if they made sort of like the old Nintendo game save slots? That way we could save every view from any aircrafts and even from all other cameras! (Because I always adjust my cockpit view on approach).

(One good thing, AP+ actually retains the internal/ external views for that session!)

You suggest I use the interior drone view in the cockpit right ?

Or I can just use the captain camera view and make some adjustments?
