Im sure it’s fine, 777 has never given me trouble. Feel free to vote on the rework.
But also, how fast are you climbing and how fast are you going? Reccomend climbing no more than 2500 FPM and never go past Mach 0.85 for fuel efficiency in cruise.
[Step Climb]
Step Climbing
Welcome to your guide to Step Climbing! With the release of global to Infinite Flight, there are many new things to learn in regards to your aircraft’s performance. The days of taking off from your favorite airport to cruising at FL390 within 20mins of departure are long over.
Included in this tutorial are a few images that were screenshotted from FlightAware.com that will better help explain how Step Climbing is achieved. The flight in particular is Qantas 8 (QF…
Remember to step climb when you’re very heavy, as you may to be heavy for the cruise altitude you are at.
This tutorial will cover how to extend your aircraft’s range and endurance while flying globally.
(Aircraft used for this tutorial is a 787-9 loaded to MTW)
(Winds Point #1)
First, lets talk about winds. Flying into a headwind will result in a slower groundspeed, while flying with a tailwind will result in a higher groundspeed. A higher groundspeed means you’ll arrive at your destination quicker and ultimately less fuel will be needed and burned for that route. The opposite is true for when f…
I have spent some time going through each of the aircraft that we have available to us and brought all of the fuel burns for all of the aircraft to one location. With these fuel burns is provided an Estimated Flying Time or EFT. This is the amount of time you could expect flying. The fuel burn and the EFT is provided in app under the weight and balance page. All I did was transfer what was given to an excel spreadsheet. As for the cruising speeds, I tested these speeds over a period of time to e…
