777 Flight Out LAX To The Philippines Returns to LAX Due To Mechanical Problems

A 777 flight departing from LAX to the Philippines had to return to LAX due to mechanical problems. There were no injuries. It turned out to be due to an engine failure, it was in flames. I’m glad everybody is alright!

Sorry, wasn’t thinking when I made the title. Fixed it.

that’s probably not fun for anyone. I know they practice one engine stuff but still probably not fun .

Aren’t compressor stalls rarer nowadays?

They usually have systems in place to prevent it, but it’s not 100% Preventable. They are quite rare though.

Thanks man! I’ll listen to that later it should be interesting.

It is sort of crazy to me how people get so worked up about this, like even outside of the aviation community I saw this again on the news this morning, yet in the meantime nearly 13,000 people have died of road accidents just in the US since this has happened. You kinda can’t help but feel that these things get blown out of proportion to prey on people’s fear…
