747 fuel problem

Hello guys. I think this has been a problem for years now but I just want to report a problem im having with the 747 fuel efficiency. I was on a flight from LAX-FRA and i put in 12-13 hours of fuel since its a 10 hour flight. When i tookoff it said I was 2 hrs of fuel short but i though that the plane would eventually adjust since I had put in an extra 2-3 hours of fuel. I come back 6 hours later and it still says im 2 hours of fuel short. Just wanted to report this problem.

Using Simbrief, I find that putting in a fuel factor of P25-P30 (which means 25-30% more fuel burn) works out well.

Yes I’ve been having this problem a lot.
Yesterday I flew from PEK-JFK
With maximum fuel on the 747-8 about 18-19 hours of fuel if I remember. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it, so I had to divert to YYC. Not a big problem because I was over land.

I had the same issue with a 747-2 from MAD-HKG
Again, I could divert since I was over land.

But right now I am flying from SYD-SAN in a 747-4 (with maximum fuel)
And am between HNL, and SAN. But I do not have enough fuel to reach either of them. So I’m not sure what to do lol.
