Hai people!
I have been planning to do a 747-8 flight (passenger) from Seoul to Los Angeles but I do not know how much fuel I need. I had past experiences where I had enough fuel but once I got to cruising altitude, the ETA shows red, even though I had up to 3 hours fuel reserve. What should I do? Note that this specifically happens on the 747.

AndrewWu has made a terrific calculator and guide for fuel burn, you should be able to make a copy of the google sheet and enter in the information of your flight and it will give you actual fuel for IFs fuel burn
You can use SimBrief https://www.simbrief.com
in there just fill in your flight information, it can generate a plan of how much fuel you should bring, cruising altitude etc
Oh and you need to create a account
and ignore the purchase, go back to simbrief and you can start planning your flight!
Also another great website I use is Infinite Flight FPL Converter. However you do need a simbrief account but it feels a little less cluttered than simbrief.
There a little trick that will make everything simpler.
The flight between ICN and LAX is roughly 9:20hrs, then just take the usual fuel you would take but set in cruise your flaps to 10°.
Your fuel flow will be much closer to what is is IRL.
But simbreif doesn’t take into account the horrific fuel burn on the IF 747 family
I guess add few more hours of fuel into the flight? And climb gradually.

I’ve done lots of long haul flights with the 747 and i’ve used sim brief and i’ve always had 1-2 hours of fuel remaining. It is indeed accurate. It normally gives 4-5 hours fuel extra.
There is a function in Simbrief that helps with this, the Fuel Factor, I highly recommend using it, it compensates for this different fuel consumption with the right amount of fuel.
Actually the fuel amount that Simbrief displays is perfectly right, the estimated flight time what you get from when you are fueling up your plane on ground is wrong. So just rely on the fuel amouth that Simbrief gives!
I do have a account and I do use both of those, but even though I do, sometimes it happens!
