5CA4 has a bug

G’day Found this airport when I was just going to random airports on the map and the airport looked like this. Seems to be a bit tall. The airport is Ludlow ICAO: 5CA4.

Well it’d be nice to know the name of the airport first.

If you would like to see this fixed, maybe us what the airport is…
Also, maybe add some substance 🤷🏻‍♂️👍

Edit: @Joseph007 ya beat me to it

I think this is the time where I step in and say “I’ll fix the issue.”

I’ll go ahead and fix the elevation of this airport.

Just quick question, can I make this into a topic about bugged out Airports?

Not necessary. The editors are usually busy and it’s not the best use of their time to fix these elevation bugs, when they can be editing more “significant” airports (for lack of a better term). There are thousands of them like this. If you just so happen to see one, report it, but don’t actively try and find them for the team.

All airports around the world will be edited eventually.

There is nothing “bugged out” about these random strips. They simply have elevation data that doesn’t match the surrounding elevation of the scenery. In most cases, the airfield data will match what we have in IF, which requires some more digging. This is something that very few people on the team know how to do, so every request for a tiny private airport to have its elevation fixed is less time for me to add the larger airports that other people have made to the database. While it doesn’t take more than a couple minutes to fix these, you need to ask yourself what is more important to you, larger airports, or no little trenches and hills.
