It’s crazy to think on this day 5 years ago, I clicked the “Sign Up” button and created my IFC account. That was half a decade ago, which is crazy to think about! After many ups and downs on the IFC, I am still here 5 years later and still active. I would like to thank a lot of people. Thank you to our wonderful moderators and staff members such as @DeerCrusher who accepted me into IFAET and answered a lot of questions about NetJets and the brand new CL35, @Trey whose answered all of my ATC related questions and is currently my IFATC recruiter, @schyllberg whose helped answer a lot of #support topic questions for me, @Laura for making this amazing game that I still play 5 years later and it has only gotten better, @Cameron who has made the third party app LiveFlight that I’ve used for the last 3-4 years, @Dan and @MishaCamp for putting on amazing IFC events for us that are always fun, @jasonrosewell for always posting a blog post for each update, @Tyler_Shelton for making an ATC schedule every month and answering any ATC related questions I may have, and I’m sure there are so many more staff members and moderators, but if I were to continue this topic would be too long! Now I’d like to thank the hard working development team and the staff members working behind the scenes who are adding/reworking new aircrafts, adding new liveries to planes, and so much more! I’d like to thank all of the IFAET team for making wonderful 3D airports and I’m so glad that I can now contribute and make new 3D airports as well, which my first ever 3D airport, 52A, was released in 23.2! Thank you to @Ecoops123, and @Mathurin_Garcier for helping get 52A marked Ready for Release! I’d like to thank all of the IFATC controllers who work hard to provide us the best ATC possible when flying in the IF skies! Huge thank you to @TurkiyeVirtual for introducing me into the VA world and making me your COO! Back in May of 2022, I wanted to start my own VA. In August, my VA, @BreezeVirtual, was IFVARB approved and began operations! Huge thank you to the entire @BreezeVirtual staff team and @Jason_M for helping get Breeze Virtual IFVARB approved! Thank you to all of the Breeze Virtual pilots as the VA wouldn’t be able to be how it is without you! Throughout this IFC adventure, I’ve met some new people, who I’ve became friends with overtime. Thank you to everyone’s whose joined my IFC events and huge thank you to @Dan for featuring my biggest event to date! Overall, I don’t regret joining the IFC. It has helped me become a better person today. I love how we have this safe, open, and welcoming environment to share a passion that we all have, aviation! We have a great flight simulator that’s only getting better, and an awesome community to go with it! I am proud to be one of the few people whose been rocking with IF since the pre-global days. I’ve loved watching it get better and improve between each update. I get this post is long, but it’s very meaningful to me. I know I’ve probably forgot a lot also in this post, but 5 years is a long time. Thank you so much to everyone who’s made my IFC journey amazing! Cheers to the next 5!
Surprisingly, I’ve almost been on the IFC for 4 years, even though I didn’t start becoming active until fall of last year. Have to see where the community takes us you and I 🤙
