40 Years of The Boeing 757 Group Flight

There has been a ton of cool and interesting events here on Infinite Flight. And I thought to myself, why not host some sort of group flight! Well it just so happens that 2023 marks 40 years since the Boeing 757 entered service. So I’ve decided to host a group flight up in Seattle to honor 40 years of Boeing 757 flights! An icon of aviation, its hard to believe this bird has been flying for 40 years. So lets celebrate it and I hope to get plenty of signups!

Boeing 757 Info

If you for some reason are unfamiliar with the Boeing 757 here is some background information. The 757 is a narrow-body aircraft that was built by Boeing. Its first ever flight took place in February 1982 and its first revenue flight on January 1, 1983 with the now defunct Eastern Air Lines. Since then it has been in operation and has been an icon in the skies. There are two passenger variants, the 757-200 which is in the game and the 757-300 which is a much longer and lesser known version. The 757 is also a common freighter aircraft too. 1,050 were made between 1983-2004 when production ended. The 757 is a slowly dying breed of plane. While its still very common especially here in North America, several airlines over the years have been getting rid of them. If you haven’t already, get yourself on one before they are all gone.

The Flight

This will be a group flight that will originate at Renton Municiple Airport (KRNT), where hundreds of 757 were built, then we will fly to the eastern side of Washington state to Spokane Airport (KGEG). You will have access to every single livery of the 757 that is available here in Infinite Flight. You are also more than welcome to do touch and goes or fly arounds of Renton before we depart. The flight plan will be uploaded here just before we begin.

Signups & Gates

There are exactly 32 liveries in the game. It just so happens that Renton had 32 gates that fit the 757 which works out perfectly. Gates are all down below. Upon arrival into Spokane, park at one of the terminal gates. However, if those gates become full, you may park somewhere else.

ATC Services

I would really like to get ATC service on at least one airport. Renton and Spokane are both available:
If possible, I would love to get some people to work ATC. If not, pilots will use Unicom.

Rules

  1. I am not responsible for any violations you may receive if you attend.
  2. Arrive about 10-15 minutes prior to the start of event
  3. If ATC is present, try and follow all their instructions given to you
  4. Use Unicom if ATC does not show up
  5. Despite this being on Training, please still fly as professionally as possible
