Why don’t most airports have 3D mode? Will 3D mode be enabled for these airports in the Pro version?

Not all airports are 3D modeled.

At this time, not all airports are 3D. Airports are gradually being made 3D by the Infinite Flight Airport Editing Team - made up of community volunteers.
The eventual goal is to have all airports globally be 3D, however this is naturally a long process with literally tens of thousands of airports to get through.

Though there are many airports that are not 3D, there are many more airports, major or not, that are 3D. The IFAET are working hard on making more and more airports 3D, and I don’t know much about it but I believe that project is called project Metal? In Pro version, I don’t think there is a difference in the airports, you just get to fly worldwide rather than in just a few areas. Correct me if I’m wrong though.

Over 1,600 3D airports are in the sim which is 350 more than RFS and others. They add around 500 new 3D airports a year so by 2030 there will probably be around 4,000 in the sim. (Guys please give me some likes it took 90 minutes to count all the 3D airports)

How in the world did you have the patience and time to successfully count every single 3D airport in-game!?

Project Metal has nothing to do with 3D Airports actually.
Project Metal is an Official project.

Ah ok, thanks for correcting me. Like I said I don’t know much about Project Metal so I thought I read something about it having to do with 3D airports. Apologies for the misinformation.

Went to the sim and wrote down every single 3D airport in a Notebook filled out 6 pages with all the writing. I may have written some 3D airports twice the total result was 1627 so around 1600 roughly given the fact there is no way I did not write the same 3D airport twice a handful of times. May have been a waste of time. Would be nice if IF said the amount of 3D airports like RFS does. I hope it was worth it for you guys. I don’t know if it was worth it for me. I have a lot of patience to do things when I’m not flying I’m solving Rubik’s cubes or building puzzles. I have a lot more patience than my brother does when it comes to homework lol

There’s most likely a source online that states the current amount of 3D airports in Infinite Flight, but either way I respect your patience and dedication.

There probably is and I don’t think I needed to spend an hour and a half counting them all and writing them down but I’m just classy like that
