I posted a video on my YouTube channel of my landing in from Montreal. If you take out the wonky final approach (it was windy, OK!!), it was a pretty good landing if I do say so myself.
Ahh, thank you for the correction! I used the wrong aircraft to do this with, then. KLM sends their 787-9s here, as well as a smattering of 772s and A330s. Unfortunately, they’ve decided to hand of all the winter MSP-AMS ops to Delta, and will only be serving MSP during the Spring/Summer/Fall months.
Sounds like the same ops in SLC. KLM only comes from April to October. For the last 3 years but not including 2024, they would send the 787-9 to SLC. This year they changed it to the 777-200. Kind of a downgrade but it gets the job done. There was also a 777-300 that showed up one time so that was pretty cool
MSP is almost always either windy or stormy. I’ve never had a ‘fast’ approach into the airport, because the winds always push the aircraft back (especially from the east).
SLC - home of the longest downwind legs and most smooth landings.
One of my favorite airports, but I usually go to DEN instead because flights into and out of DEN are more convenient for my schedule (the hour flight time difference really makes a difference for me).
