35,040 Hours on the IFC | 4 Year IFC Anniversary
So today is the day, today is my four year anniversary on the IFC and what a rollercoaster full of amazing experiences, friendships, learnings and everything else in between, it has been.
I founded the IFC back on July 3rd 2017 and really and truely haven’t looked back since. When I first started out, I was a little bit of a trouble maker and got myself into a fair few situations both on the IFC and also within IFATC, including but not limited to taxiing across grass at an airport in a fighter jet at 70kts, getting suspended from IFATC for a multitude of reasons etc, all of this, I’m certainly not proud off, but it has made me who I am for today for the better.
After me complaining about my suspension, my suspension got extended. Then a genius called Declan, thought it would of been a fantastic idea to create duplicate accounts to try and get around the suspension which then resulted in a “permanent” ban which lasted for around a year.
Enough about bad guy, Declan.
Once I came back to the IFC, my love, passion and dedication to not only the IFC but IFATC and Infinite Flight as a whole was on a massive, new level.
I need to thank everyone in the moderation, staff and developer teams for the chances that they gave me, including @Tyler_Shelton for allowing me not only the second, but third or fourth chance back into IFATC, and if it wasn’t for Tyler and the rest of the team, I wouldn’t of had the opportunities that I’ve had or made the friendships that I have.
I also need to thank @MishaCamp (sorry for the tag, but it was needed, haha) for the opportunity that Misha and the rest of the team presented myself with, when I was asked if I was interested in joining the moderation team, and of course I said YES!
Being a moderator for the period of time that I was, was a great learning experience, learnt so many things small and big, and made some amazing friendships along the way. I was so grateful for the opportunity, even if it was for a short period of time. The opportunity to help the community in another capacity was something I certainly wouldn’t of taken for granted.
Anyway, it’s crazy to think that I’ve been on this community for 4 years, but those 4 years have been amazing and I certainly wouldn’t change it for anything at all. This place is genuinely a second home to me, and all of you are like family.
Can’t wait to see what the future brings. Infinite Flight just keeps getting better and better. Up, up and away we go!
