The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month (usually in June). Originating over 2,000 years ago, it honors the memory of Qu Yuan (340–278 BCE), a patriotic poet who drowned himself in protest against government corruption.
Just in time for the holiday season, Infinite Flight has added a 3D airport model of one of China Eastern Airlines’ popular destinations - Chengdu Tianfu Int’l Airport - to its recent update. So we jumped at the chance to fly from China Eastern’s home base, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport/Shanghai Pudong International Airport, to the beautiful city of Chengdu, known as the Land of Heavenly Capital, and visit its newest aviation hub, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport.
