The 31st of January 2025, the third day of the Chinese New Year, marks four years since Cathay Pacific Virtual joined the community. What a coincidence that the anniversary celebration coincided with the Chinese New Year! On this special day, we cordially invite you to join us to experience the festive atmosphere of the New Year together.
Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival, is the most important holiday in China. Traditionally, it usually begins on the New Year’s Eve of the lunar calendar and lasts until the 15th day of the first month of the lunar calendar. During this time, people go home to reunite with their families and have New Year’s Eve dinner to welcome the Chinese New Year together. Lanterns are hung on the streets, some people perform lion dances on the streets, fireworks blossom in the sky, and a harmonious and festive atmosphere prevails everywhere.
