Introduction To The Event:

Hi all I hope everyone is on summer break at this point and will be able to attend my second ever event! This time I decided to host it at tropical VRMM (Velana International Airport). This airport is located in the Maldives and serves as their biggest and busiest airport. Velana International also has a vast range of unique routes and airlines like Sunday Airlines, Air Astana ETC…

Anyway I thought this would be an excellent location to host an event, please consider signing up!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The airport will be busy, I’ve tried my best to space out all aircraft making it easier for push-back etc…
Some, if not all aircraft will have to back taxi the SINGLE runway at VRMM
Taxi and push-back times are expected to be long
Please Spawn in 15-20 mins before flight
Please use the airline and airplane that is assigned to the flight you choose
Runway in operation is always switching
This is not an official or sponsored event yet
No pattern work allowed
Once your signed up add this to your calendar so you remember the date and don’t miss out!

The reason the event date changed is because of personal travel I have to do.

If your unable to attend because of the date change thats fine!

No no, all aircraft will pushback onto a taxi way!

I love this project. However events posted on this category must be no longer than 30 days in advance.

From the About the Events category topic:

General Category Rules

Events may not be posted more than 30 days before the event date

I honestly don’t think it’s that big of a deal, but you may want to take note of that in the future.

Oop. Well right below it on the about topic is also says as follows:

If a date is changed, and the new date is outside of this 30-day rule, you must make a new topic when the proposed date is within 30 days

🤣

It’s alright though, if a moderator has a problem with it, they can remove it, however I’m not the events category police and it’s not causing me (or anybody else) any harm so I think you’ll be fine.

Yes but, VRMM is quite small and some aircraft actually pushback straight into the runway!

Oh, well I’ve tested it on IF and all aircraft should have enough space for pushback! The event will be tight though if many people signup!

I think the A320 and Q400 will be fine. But I have my doubts that an A350 will be fitting on this taxiway.

But now I feel like I’m being rude, 😞 so to make up for it all give you a cookie 🍪. Hopefully you accept my apology.

Oh they fly there in real life! Look at the arrivals on Flight radar! They have to back taxi the runway usually

Ahah yeah it’ll be a very cramped event if we get many signups! I hope I can get ATC fit for the job! I’ve made sure that there is one gate between all aircraft down in the gates for smaller aircraft! I hope it will work since they do it in real life :)
