30JUL20 / 1800Z - Airbus 50-year Anniversary Formation Flight @ LFBO

As an international reference in the aerospace sector, Airbus designs manufactures and delivers industry-leading commercial jetliners, helicopters, and military transports. Aircraft from across these product lines took to the skies for a 2019 formation flight in celebration of the company’s 50th anniversary. This IF event is meant to “semi-recreate” this formation flight. Although not all aircraft from the original event are available in IF, we will try our best to recreate some stunning shots with five different Airbus livery planes. As well known to most of the aviation enthusiasts, Toulouse-Blagnac Airport is one of the most if not the most important Airbus’s base, which makes Airport selection quite an obvious decision.

Down below you can find some very useful and important information for our flight to happen as planned. I wish all attending pilots a fun and enjoyable event!

We will try to recreate the following 4 formations (as shown on the drafts (disregard formation 4.2!))

Additional and more precise information about the formation will be given on the day of event (either in PM or in the original thread.

Extra Notes:

  • Since formation flying is not the easiest task, pilots with any experiences in this type of flying are especially desired.

  • Once signed up, attendance at the event should be reliable, due to a small number of aircraft in the formation.

  • Because of a bit shorter introduction any questions regarding event are always welcome.
